Our broiler chickens are raised in batches of 75, from day old chicks to 8 weeks old. These chickens are housed in a 10’ x 10’ x 2’ high shelter, which has no floor…allowing the birds to “dine” on seeds; insects and of course, pasture grasses. Their diet is also supplemented with a locally prepared organic blend of feed…high in protein.

We utilize a pasture rotation system to prevent overgrazing of pasture and to fertilize the land in a systematic way, which maximizes the overall grazing experience of our chickens. Rotation is typically twice per day.

Our egg-layers also have access to pasture grasses, but prefer hanging out in their coop and small yard area. They love to hunt and peck for bugs. Their diet is also supplemented with a locally prepared organic blend of feed…specifically made at our request…FREE of wheat; soy; and corn.
